Police Officer John Turner

help!

In another example of the police determined to find a member of the public guilty before a court can, North Carolina police officer John Turner found it necessary to use not-so non-lethal force on a man on a bicycle. Roger Anthony, a hard-of-hearing 61 year old, fell off his bike in a parking lot. A short while later, Police Officer John Turner approached the bicycle rider, and when unable to gain immediate compliance, chose to demand it with his stun gun. Roger Anthony, described by his sister as hard-of-hearing and suffering from seizures died.

Even the mayor of Scotland Neck, James Mills questioned the necessity of this level of enforcement.

Americans are innocent until proven guilty, in the courts and on the streets. We deserve to be treated better by the officers of law enforcement.
